Michael Simon, M.D., MPH, leader of the Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Team, chair of the Women's Health Initiatives Scientific Interest Groups at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute. Dr. Simon is interested in risk factors for cancer on a population level. This interest leads him to investigate the effect of health disparities as measured by racial and ethnic differences and socioeconomic differences on cancer risk, access to care and survival.
