Volunteers

If you want to feel the satisfaction service to others, contact the Volunteer Services office at (989) 894-3540 for an application, or print and complete the appropriate application listed on the left and mail to McLaren Bay Region,  Attn: Volunteer Services, 1900 Columbus Avenue, Bay City, MI 48708-9974.  Volunteers under the age of 17 must also complete the Volunteer Consent form.

We are in immediate need for the following volunteer services:

Gift Shop - Volunteers wait on customers, mark prices on items, restock items.  Main campus - afternoons 1-4:30pm, 3-6:30pm evenings 4pm-8pm; Gift shop west - weekdays 10-3pm, and 3-6:30pm.
MBSC, West Campus - Volunteers to help tend the flower beds in the courtyard.
Information - Volunteers assist visitors w/ room numbers and locations, answer incoming inquiries for patient room numbers and departments, direct patients to various departments.  Evenings from 4pm-8pm and Saturdays.
Courtesy Van Drivers - Volunteers are needed to transport patients to and from McLaren Bay Region facilities.  Shifts are 8:00am - 12:30pm and Noon to 4:30 pm.
Receptionist Assistance - Jeppesen Oncology Center on Thursdays from 9am-1pm (or 2pm).
Volunteer Office - Mondays and Fridays from 12pm - 4pm.
Pastoral Care Office - weekdays 8am-11am.  Duties include check admissions and discharges, update room numbers on patients transferred, notify the churches of a patient admission, and prepare lists for various churches sending in pastoral care assistance.

Volunteers work in practically every area of the hospital and in many support areas.

Host families of surgery patients

Assist with various hospital programs
Deliver patient’s mail and flowers.
