Welcome to McLaren Bay Medical Foundation
Our Mission: "McLaren Bay Medical Foundation raises funds and supports McLaren Bay Region and McLaren Bay Special Care in their mission of improving the health of the communities they serve."
The cornerstone for McLaren Bay Medical Foundation was laid in 1972 when citizens in the community raised $3 million to build the nucleus of Bay Medical Center. In 1979, Bay Medical Foundation was established as a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation.
Today, the Foundation's Board of Trustees is made up of 28 community members who volunteer their time and expertise. They establish policy and make decisions regarding use of funds throughout McLaren Bay Region and McLaren Bay Special Care, our extended-stay acute hospital.
Several standing committees are responsible for seeking funds from various sources, assuring funds are appropriately invested and allocated, and that donors are properly acknowledged with regard to their contributions.
Behavioral Health Campaign
The Foundation has committed $578,500 towards renovations for the Behavioral Health Unit at McLaren Bay Region.
