Health Sciences Library

HEALTH SCIENCES LIBRARY  The Library is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A key is available after hours. Please see Security by the Emergency Room. Users are asked to unlock the door. Be sure to wear your identification badge at all times.

TEXTBOOKS: (except for reference books) may be borrowed for two weeks. Journals may not be removed from the Library. If journal articles are needed, a copy machine is available in the Library for your use, or the Library Staff will make your copies during regular hours.

VIDEOCASSETTE: tapes and players are available. Tapes may be checked out for three days. There are a limited number of audiotapes that may be checked out for three days.

COMPUTERS: Six computers (PCs) are in the Health Sciences Library and are loaded with Windows 7.

ALL ITEMS REMOVED FROM THE LIBRARY MUST BE SIGNED OUT: We participate in a statewide interlibrary loan system which permits McLaren Bay Region to request items from other medical and health sciences libraries. Request forms are at the receptionist's counter. McLaren Bay Region has a Medline terminal and can search the National Library of Medicine databases for citations to articles in the literature. Place your request with the Librarian.
