The Human Research Protections Program (HRPP) is committed to protecting the rights and welfare of all those who volunteer to participate in research at McLaren. This page provides basic information regarding research and the rights of research participants.  You will also find answers to some questions frequently asked by those considering participating in research.

Research has led to important discoveries that make our lives better.  By taking part in a research study, you can contribute to the better understanding of how a treatment or intervention works in people of different ethnic backgrounds and genders and, perhaps, help to improve medical procedures in the future.

The McLaren Health Care HRPP welcomes your questions / concerns.  You can contact our office at (248) 484-4950 to speak with an individual who is unaffiliated with specific research.
