What is Nutritional Counseling?
Nutritional Counseling, also known as Medical Nutrition Therapy, plays a role in preventing and/or treating many threatening health conditions. Medical Nutrition Therapy is a service provided by a Registered Dietitian (RD).

Our registered dietitians will provide your physician with an assessment of your overall nutrition status and give you education on a personalized course of treatment. A follow-up visit is also made at a later date to evaluate your success on the treatment plan.
Medical Nutrition Therapy can be prescribed for individuals experiencing a number of diseases and conditions, but not limited to:
- Gall Bladder Disease
- Gastro-Intestinal Diseases
- Heart Disease
- Hypertension
- Hypoglycemia
- Kidney Disease
- Lung Disease
- Menopause
- Osteoporosis
- Sports Nutrition
- Vegetarian Nutrition
- Weight Loss
Individuals must have a doctor’s referral to take advantage of Medical Nutrition Therapy.
Cost
The cost of Medical Nutrition Therapy is based on the amount of counseling required. In some cases, insurance companies may cover the cost of counseling. |
