Medical Assistant (MA)

Medical assistants work with physicians and other medical professionals and are responsible for performing a wide variety of clinical and clerical duties.  Typically you get to know “your” medical assistant almost as well as your physician. The medical assistant reviews your medical information and takes vital statistics including height, weight and blood pressure prior to the arrival of the physician, The MA remains to provide support to the physician during the examination, diagnoses and treatments, even providing inoculations. 

Medical Receptionist

A medical office receptionist is responsible for clerical tasks such as answering phones, greeting patients and scheduling appointments in a professional and timely manner. Medical receptionist are in fact ambassadors to the medical practice as they are the first person that you encounter, in some offices they may be responsible for both administrative and clinical duties as well.
