Our chapels

McLaren Greater Lansing Chapels offer quiet, private spaces

Greenlawn Chapel

Penn Campus Chapel

Opposite the Greenlawn lobby information desk is a wooden door with a simple chapel sign. Just past the Pennsylvania campus information desk (near the old main lobby) is a cozy, intimate chapel. Inside, one finds a quiet space that reflects the interdenominational nature of McLaren Greater Lansing's spirityality program. Judeo-Christian, Islamic, Buddhist, and Hindu worship symbols and Holy Scriptures are offered for prayer, meditation and reflection. Consider --

  • The chapels are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and are perfect places to reflect on your day.
  • Small weddings or memorial services can be scheduled for either chapel.
  • Blank prayer cards are available for visitors to ask for prayers for specific individuals or needs. A prayer bowl is on the altar. Many chapel visitors go through prayer requests on a regular basis and pray for each individual and need.
  • A prayer rug is available for those of the Islamic faith.
  • When you sign in at Patient Registration, offer the church you attend and the ministers who can access the inpatient admission list. Most important, let your faith leaders know you are in the hospital, and would welcome a visit. Catholic Lay Eucharistic ministers offer communion to Catholic patients and families.

If you haven't visited one of our chapels recently, consider this an invitation.
