The Expectant Parents Organization (EPO) is a nonprofit organization serving families in the mid-Michigan area. EPO is a 501(c) (3) agency that prepares families for childbirth, breastfeeding, and early childhood care in order to support a safe and nurturing environment that enhances infant health and decreases infant mortality.

EPO classes are taught by registered nurses and are held in several locations in the greater Lansing area. Working in cooperation with all area physicians, midwives, and hospitals, EPO serves over 1,600 expectant mothers and their support persons each year. Approximately 35% of our clients have limited incomes and attend classes using our Financial Assistance Program.
