Greater Lansing - Clinic Information Residency IM GME

McLaren Greater Lansing’s Internal Medicine Residency Program has implemented the innovative “4+1” scheduling system. The “4” represents a traditional four week rotation, without conflicting outpatient responsibilities. For four consecutive weeks, you will be able to focus solely on the education of your rotation. The “1” refers to a week spent in the continuity clinic where the residents are free from hospital based responsibilities. Because the “+1’s” constitute a total of ten weeks, the MGL IM residents have only ten, four week rotations per academic year. Additionally, because the number of rotations are decreased, the number of residents per team increases, fostering an excellent rounding atmosphere in a small internal medicine program.
