BRAvo 2016: Dancing With Our Docs back for another year

Published on Tuesday, September 20, 2016
Find It, Treat It, Beat ItMOUNT CLEMENS, Mich.—After its highly-successful and crowd-pleasing debut last year, Dancing With Our Docs returns for another year at BRAvo 2016, the McLaren Macomb event to raise funds and awareness for women’s health initiatives. Now in its seventh year, BRAvo for Women has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide much-needed services to a number of women’s health initiatives.

With BRAvo 2016 hosted on Oct. 4 at Penna’s of Sterling in Sterling Heights, the Dancing With Our Docs feature pairs cancer survivors with McLaren Macomb physicians for a spirited, choreographed dance, awarding a "winner” based on the amount of donations raised from the capacity crowd.

“We knew it would be something new and fresh last year, but I don’t thing we ever thought it would be as outstanding and rewarding as it was for everyone involved,” said Pat Keigher, regional director of cancer services and founding member of BRAvo. “We’re very thankful to the survivors and doctors who are participating this year.”

The BRAvo 2016 Dancing With Our Docs pairs:
Dr. Carl and Mrs. Penny Pesta
Dr. Albert Przybylski and Kathy Lauinger
Dr. Sanjay Vora and Wendy Pagano
Dr. Patrick Flaherty and Dena Achille

Now in its seventh year, BRAvo has built its reputation as the premier women’s health event in Macomb County

Also back this year will be great food, drink and live entertainment, the silent auction of artfully-decorated bras signed by national celebrities—a BRAvo favorite—along with live auctions, raffles and much more.

With hundreds of supporters in attendance, 99.5 WYCD’s Linda Lee will be leading the evening’s festivities.
