BRAvo 2017: Bigger than ever

Published on Wednesday, October 04, 2017

Following another successful year, BRAvo 2017 promises to be bigger than ever … literally.

BRAvo 2017 Themed “Mammograms: The Girls’ Best Friend,” BRAvo 2017 will be hosted at a new venue to accommodate the breast cancer and women’s health fundraising event’s ever growing group of enthusiastic supporters.

Hosted at The Palazzo Grande in Shelby Township, the one-of-a-kind fundraiser will be held at 5 p.m. on Tues., Oct. 17.

“That we needed to move our event to another venue to accommodate all of our supporters further shows how connected our community is to this program,” said Pat Keigher, regional director of cancer services at McLaren Macomb and founding member of BRAvo. “We would not be here without their generous support and we strive every year to make our event exciting for them. I feel confident 2017 will continue that tradition.”

In what has become a crowd-pleasing main event, “Dancing with our Docs” returns with four new dancing couples:
Dr. Neal Bhatt and Debbie Norris
Dr. Timothy Logan and Kathleen Konath
Dr. Joseph Kaiser and Kelly Taylor
Dr. Michael Wagner and Michele Beitelshees

The evening will again feature a delicious plated dinner, raffles and silent auction along with original artwork and entertaining emcees Rob Stone and Holly Hutton of 99.5 WYCD.

“Dancing with our Docs” winners will be determined by the total amount of donations received. Donations to your favorite team can be made at

The Palazzo Grande is located at 54660 Van Dyke in Shelby Township. For ticket information, visit
