McLaren Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Clinic Offer Focused Healing for Better Outcomes and Welcomes New Providers

Archive, Latest News, Our Physicians, September

The McLaren Wound Care Clinic specializes in treating acute and chronic hard-to-heal wounds. The clinic recently welcomed a general surgeon and two additional podiatric specialists to the care team. This specialized team of doctors and nurses is solely dedicated to treating wounds, including many that have resisted healing after months and even years of traditional treatment. McLaren was the first area hospital to offer hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy and the care team uses only proven, advanced treatment techniques. The types of wounds treated include vascular leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, surgical or traumatic wounds, and wounds caused by edema, cancer, radiation treatment, burns, infections and scleroderma.

Our Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Program has a long history of successfully treating diabetic wounds, complications from radiation therapy, chronic bone infections, non-healing skin grafts or flaps, and crush injuries. Studies have shown that hyperbaric oxygen therapy increases an individual’s ability to heal wounds. The use of HBO in combination with advanced wound care has been proven to prevent amputations. It's a thoroughly tested, FDA approved, completely safe and painless therapy that has helped thousands of patients heal faster and better than ever before.

Our program is ready to partner with you to achieve healing for your patients.  Most patients can be seen within three business days. Referring a patient is simple. Please complete the referral form and fax it to our office. We will send you a visit summary once we begin healing your patient.
