About Our Hospice Services

Comfort, Dignity and Support at the End of Life

Hospice is not about giving up hope. It’s about quality of life...at the end of life. Hospice is a specialized type of care and knowledge for people nearing the end of their health care journey. At McLaren Hospice, we focus on the person, not the disease. We provide compassionate, comfort care to patients while also supporting caregivers, family members and friends.

Hospice care can be provided:
  • at home
  • in the hospital
  • in long-term care facilities
  • in assisted living centers
In all of these locations, we help enhance quality of life by supporting personal choices and experiences, controlling pain and discomfort, and helping people maintain dignity. McLaren Hospice serves Mid and Southeast Michigan with a fully trained and supportive team of professionals and volunteers who are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our compassionate team includes:
  • Physicians
  • Nurses
  • Medical social workers
  • Counselors
  • Spiritual care coordinators
  • Hospice certified nursing assistants
  • Registered dieticians
  • Pharmacists and Pharmacy Techs
  • Therapists
  • Volunteers
Each team member provides care based on their own areas of expertise. Working together, we develop a personalized plan of care for each patient and family.

We also provide:
