Oakland - Orthopedic Surgery

This five-year program includes training in adult, child, and general orthopedics, hands, oncology, sports medicine, spine, amputations, total joint arthroplasty, trauma, and basic sciences. Multi-disciplinary trauma conferences are conducted monthly with the departments of radiology, pathology, surgery, and emergency medicine. A Rockwood conference, X-ray conference, or journal club meet daily. Residents participate in the Educational Program of the Statewide Campus System of the MSUCOM didactic curriculum for Orthopedic Surgery.

First year is OGME-1r (option 1). Students will "match" directly into the residency and the 1st postdoctoral year will be considered the first year of residency training.
