Cancer Support Services, Resources and Groups

Oncology Nurse Navigator

When you or a family member is diagnosed with cancer, the feeling can be overwhelming. Suddenly you are faced with many complicated decisions, specialists, and medical language that is difficult to understand. Our specially trained, experienced Oncology Nurse Navigator can support you through every step of diagnosis and treatment. Our nurse navigator, Julie Dickinson, RN, BSN, OCN, is available Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., in Women’s Wellness Place, or by calling (810) 989-3788.

Cancer Massage - Compassionate Touch

For patients in our inpatient Infusion Center and Oncology Unit, compassionate touch massage services provided are hand, foot or neck massages at no cost. Also available in Women’s Wellness Place before or after scheduled medical visits.

Look Good Feel Better

For women in cancer treatment experiencing hair loss, skin, facial and nail changes.

Wig Bank

Free wigs are available to women who are currently undergoing cancer treatment.

Cancer Support Group for Women

We invite women experiencing cancer to attend our support group to help cope with the struggle that all cancers can bring at any stage.

Cancer Support Group for Men

This is a Support Group for MEN who have or have had Cancer.

Reach to Recovery

Breast Cancer Survivors volunteer to visit patients during their hospital stay providing support, education and comfort. Contact the American Cancer Society at (800) 227-2345 or www.cancer.org; for a referral.
