The McLaren Proton Therapy Center is located in the campus of McLaren Medical Center-Flint, where it is integrated with the McLaren Cancer Institute. Exterior construction on the 42,000 sq. ft. facility is complete, interior facility work is underway, and equipment is being installed and tested. When complete, the facility will include three treatment rooms, a large lobby, space for offices and support services and a healing garden. When fully operational, the McLaren Proton Therapy Center will employ approximately 80 new healthcare professionals and is expected to attract hundreds of medical visitors. Projections are to begin treating the first patient in December of 2012.
