Welcome to Our Family Medicine Residency - McLaren Oakland Program

  • A Message from the Program Director
    Mark Schury, DO

McLaren Oakland Family Medicine allows flexibility to address and satisfy each resident’s educational needs and practice preferences. Residents care for patients in our continuity of care clinic as well as in multiple primary care offices throughout Oakland County. Family Medicine faculty supervises these experiences. Additional block ambulatory care training occurs in rural and urban offices. Other rotations in specialty and sub-specialty areas provide needed knowledge and skills. Required rotations include Emergency Medicine, General Surgery and surgical sub-specialties, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Orthopedics, Geriatrics, Sports Medicine, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Critical Care (ICU). There is ample time offered for elective rotations. Elective rotations offered include Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Urology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Pulmonary Medicine, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Podiatry, and others.
