DIABETES AND STROKE

Speaker: Janice Baker, NP, Neurology

People who have diabetes are 2 times as likely to have a stroke as compared to people who do not have diabetes. Every 2 minutes an American adult with diabetes is hospitalized for stroke. Diabetes is the fastest growing disease today and we are taking steps to improve diabetes care. The goal of this session is to increase confidence levels to manage diabetes among those who attend as well as give those living with the condition hope and increased knowledge.
