Join us for the McLaren Charity Gala! Friday, June 9, 2023 at 6:00 pm in the Garden at the Hospitality House at McLaren!
Did you know that approximately 39% of men and women will be diagnosed with cancer at some point during their lifetime? With that number in mind, consider the impact of providing support and services to patients undergoing treatment for cancer. Add to that the significance of sustaining families through their loved ones’ cancer journeys, and the value of this support cannot be overstated.
In keeping with this focus, proceeds from the 2023 McLaren Charity Gala will be directed to key programs at McLaren Flint that support cancer patients and their families.
The first is the Hospitality House at McLaren, which is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in July of this year. Located adjacent to the McLaren Proton Therapy Center, the Hospitality House provides a comfortable and convenient haven for cancer patients who receive daily proton therapy treatment. Families of these patients, along with those receiving other services at McLaren Flint, are also welcome to stay at the Hospitality House and benefit from the healing and supportive environment. Lodging at the Hospitality House is offered on a low-cost, or, in some cases, no-cost basis, with a designated Nights of Hope Fund available for those who cannot afford to pay the limited fee.
Equally important in easing the burden for patients is providing transportation to and from treatments, assisting with basic needs, and funding advances in cancer treatment. The McLaren Charity Gala will also serve to reinforce funds that directly support these programs and other cancer care initiatives.
