TAI CHI CLASS FOR CANCER SURVIVORS
JOIN THIS FUN CANCER SUPPORT CLASS! This class is designed to increase strength, flexibility, range of motion and balance. Participants will also learn how to reduce stress and anxiety. Tai Chi (is often practiced for its health-giving and gentle, generally slow-paced movements) and Qigong (which integrates physical postures, breathing techniques, focused intentions or body awareness and mental concentration). This program is taught by a certified instructor. This class can be done in a seated position, if desired. Expect to receive support and relationship building with fellow survivors and an overall life-enhancing experience.
Location: Outpatient Care Center/Karmanos Cancer Institute 3520 Forest Road, Lansing MI 48910 Community Room – 1st Floor
*For those who wish to participate virtually a Zoom option is available
Dates: Every Monday from 10:00am to 11:00am Fee: FREE for Cancer Survivors. Caregivers and support people of those attending are also welcome. Participants can join anytime during the session. Made possible through a grant from the McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation.
