We are thrilled to welcome Nick Branch back to the Bluewater area as one of the newest members of the Advanced Orthopedics team.
From a young age, Nick had a strong interest in the mechanics of how things worked and could often be found taking things apart in order to understand them better. After watching several family members undergo orthopedic surgery during his high school years, he realized that the science of putting things back together was even more fascinating, thus influencing his decision to go into the field of orthopedics. After graduating from Port Huron Northern, where he played varsity hockey and golf, he was awarded a scholarship to the University of Detroit Mercy. He earned his Master of Science Degree and completed the Physician Assistant Program in 2012.
Now, as a Physician Assistant here at Advanced Orthopedics, Nick has been able to combine his love of reconstructing things with his fascination of the musculoskeletal system as he assists our physicians in the operating room every day. He follows each surgical patient's progress by establishing post-operative care, seeing them in the office and helping throughout the recovery process.
In his free time, Nick continues to play both hockey and golf whenever he gets the chance. He also enjoys boating and traveling.
