The Diabetes and Nutritional Counseling Center provides educational services for patients with or at risk for diabetes.
Our services include:
- Individual Diabetes Counseling for pre-diabetes, Type I, Type II, and Gestational Diabetes
- Individual sessions with the dietitian are available for assistance with specific diabetes concerns.
- Support with Insulin Injection and Pump Therapies
- We can provide support to patients following complex insulin regimens.
- We can assess patients for their readiness to go on insulin pumps, and provide education to prepare them for the transition from multiple injections to pump therapy.
- We are available to offer support for patients and their providers once using insulin pumps.
A referral for diabetes education services is required from the medical provider.
There is a fee for these services; however Diabetes Self-Management Education is a covered benefit on many health insurance plans. Please check your insurance coverage prior to your first appointment. (Billing codes G0108 and G0109).

Jeanne Kincaid, RD, CDE
Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator
With 25 years of experience as a certified diabetes educator, Jeanne provides support to adults with Type 1, Type 2, and gestational diabetes, and pre-diabetes. Jeanne is skilled in education techniques of motivational interviewing and goal setting for active patient engagement. Counseling strength in providing clear attainable recommendations for multiple diet restrictions.
Sandra Parker, RDN, CDE
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Diabetes Educator
With 45 years of experience as a registered dietitian nutritionist and over 20 years as certified diabetes educators. Strengths include community program planning and facilitating group sessions. Sandra is involved in diabetes outreach programs.
