About Us

McLaren Lapeer Region Occupational Health and Convenient Care is an urgent care facility that offers prompt, quality health care when you need it.

With board-certified urgent care physicians, our team offers urgent care for minor illnesses and injuries such as:

  • Fever
  • Flu and cold symptoms
  • Ear ache
  • Sprain or strain
  • Cuts
  • Rash
  • Minor burns
  • Work-related injury
  • Sore throat
  • Stomach pain
  • Urinary tract infection (UTI)

In addition to providing immediate, compassionate care when you need it most, our urgent care also offers:

  • Flu shots
  • Minor surgical procedures
  • Occupational health services
  • On-site lab services
  • Pre-employment physicals and testing
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing
  • Sports physicals
  • X-Ray

When to see your primary care provider (PCP)

Your primary care provider (PCP) should be your first point of contact for all of your non-emergent healthcare needs. PCPs help you manage your overall, long-term health while maintaining your personal healthcare history.

These physicians are focused on: 

  • Promoting your ongoing health and disease prevention
  • Performing or scheduling annual exams and screenings
  • Coordinating care with specialty physicians as needed
  • Diagnosing and managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol
  • Ensuring vaccines are up to date

When to go to the Emergency Room

The emergency department is your hub for life-threatening illness and injuries. If you are experiencing any of the following, immediately go to your nearest emergency department or call 911:

  • Difficulty breathing, shortness of breath
  • Chest or upper abdominal pain lasting more than several minutes
  • Fainting, dizziness, weakness or lack of mobility
  • Changes in vision
  • Confusion or changes in mental status
  • Sudden or severe pain
  • Uncontrolled bleeding
  • Broken bones that break through the skin
  • Severe or persistent vomiting or diarrhea
  • Coughing or vomiting blood
  • Suicidal feelings
  • Poisoning
  • Head or neck injury
