Welcomes New Interventional Cardiologist

McLaren Northern Michigan is pleased to welcome board-certified interventional cardiologist, David Dobies, MD, FACC, to Michigan Heart & Vascular Specialists.

Dr. Dobies received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine internship at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis and his residency at Indiana University. Dr. Dobies completed his Cardiology fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital and an Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

With over 25 years of cardiovascular experience, Dr. Dobies is looking forward to practicing cardiac care in northern Michigan. “I chose McLaren Northern Michigan because it has an outstanding reputation. The hospital and region are expanding, and I am excited to be part of a growing community in my home state,” he expressed.

Dr. Dobies has a special interest in interventional cardiology which also includes medical statistics, research, and staying informed about the latest cardiology practices and techniques.

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Dobies likes to spend time with his wife Karen and two sons. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, hunting, fishing, traveling, history, and being outdoors.
