Building A Healthier Lapeer

Investing in the Lapeer Region's health and community

McLaren Lapeer Region (MLR) is investing in the community by building at three-story, 92,000-square-foot Ambulatory Care Center on its campus, adjacent to the current hospital.

Once completed in 2021, this medical office building will house the offices of physicians from a variety of specialties, including orthopedics; otolaryngology; physical, occupational and speech therapy; neurosurgery; obstetrics and gynecology; pediatrics; family practice; internal medicine; gastroenterology; and general surgery, as well as providing laboratory services and diagnostic imaging.

The goal of this project is to create better wraparound care for all patients by fostering a healing environment where patients can receive several outpatient services, all in one location.

We are proud to be partnering with Integrated Design Solutions and Auch Construction on this project.

Project Facts:

The building will consist of 106,500 bricks. If put end to end, the bricks, they would stretch 14.6 miles. That is the nearly the distance between MLR and Imlay City.

There will be 465 tons of structural steel, or almost 1million pounds.

If all the electrical wire were strung together, it would stretch 77.5 miles, which is the distance from MLR to the tip of the thumb of Michigan.

There will be 44,000 pounds of ductwork, or about the weight of three ambulances.
