Kelly Flynn, DO, Joins McLaren Family Medicine in Petoskey
Kelly Flynn, DO, family medicine physician, has joined McLaren Northern Michigan Family Medicine located at 820 Arlington Avenue in Petoskey. Dr. Flynn joins Eliza Newbury, DO, and Tim Amborski, FNP.
Dr. Flynn’s interest in medicine began when she was working at a Grand Rapids clinic for the underserved while completing her undergraduate degree. “I was moved by the impact physicians have on an individual’s life and felt it is an honor to be involved in both their personal health and wellbeing,” expressed Dr. Flynn. “Medicine was the perfect opportunity to serve others through my passion for science, joy in working with people, and service to others and my community.”
Dr. Flynn received her Bachelor of Science degree from Grand Valley State University before going to Michigan State University – College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency at Mercy Health Physician Partners in Muskegon. Dr. Flynn express that “My most fulfilling experience as a medical provider is to empower others to have healthy habits and assist them in managing health conditions.”
Raised in Northern Michigan, Dr. Flynn wanted to return to the area to be closer to family and practice medicine. “I enjoy spending time outdoors running, boating, skiing, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends,” said Dr. Flynn. “Especially with my husband, two sons, and cat.”
