Karmanos, McLaren Flint Welcomes Fellowship-Trained Surgical Oncologist Back to Michigan

The Karmanos Cancer Institute at McLaren Flint adds fellowship-trained surgical oncologist Scott Kizy, MD to the cancer care team. Dr. Kizy joins Tolutope Oyasiji, MD, MRCSI, MHSA, FACS in Flint to provide advanced surgical care to patients diagnosed with cancer.

“Continuing my career in my home state brings my medical journey full circle,” said Dr. Kizy. “Joining Karmanos and McLaren will allow me to provide Flint patients extraordinary care close to home.”

Dr. Kizy completed his fellowship training in complex general surgical oncology at the Moffitt Cancer Center at the University of South Florida in Tampa. His residency was completed at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, where he also served as the Administrative Chief Resident for general surgery. He earned his Doctor of Medicine, and Bachelor of Science in Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology, at the University of Michigan.
