CARO, Mich. — Following two years of construction, McLaren Caro Region is set to increase its community's access to care with the opening of the Putman Medical Building. McLaren will begin providing care in the patient-focused, state-of-the-art medical office building starting October 31. In this partnership between the hospital and local healthcare providers, the two-story, 42,000-square-foot medical office building will extend the award-winning care offered within McLaren Caro Region further into the Caro community, featuring physicians across a range of specialties and frequently used services.
Located along West Caro Road, just north of Dixon Road, the Putman Medical Building will feature primary care along and onsite pharmacy with McLaren Caro Region providing several specialty service lines, including imaging, nephrology, dermatology, general surgery and pulmonology.
"Breaking ground on this project in October 2020, we were at the height of the pandemic, and more people began considering their health like they never had before,” said Connie Koutouzos, president, and CEO of McLaren Caro Region. “As members of this community, we consider it our responsibility to be the leader in providing exceptional care as well as increasing access to that care. We’re proud to be in this position, and we're confident our services within this facility will meet our patients' needs and exceed their expectations."
Patients and visitors to the new facility will be greeted with calming and appealing décor, valet parking service, and other amenities to enhance their health care experience, with additional enhancements — such as a bistro café — planned for the coming months.
Design and construction of the building was overseen by Putman Developing, LLC, a local commercial developer committed to serving the needs of the community.
