McLaren Oakland Marketer named 2020 Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce President

McLaren Oakland announced today that Kris Miller, Sr. Marketing Specialist for the hospital, will serve a second one-year term as the president of the Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Miller completed her first year as president in 2019 and was re-nominated for a second term after the death of the vice president of the board of directors, Adam Apfelblat of Michigan Chiropractic, late last year.

Ms. Miller has been a supporter of the Waterford area for many years. She was co-chair for two Waterford School District Bond campaigns, co-chair of the marketing and PR Committee for the Waterford Parks and Rec millage, and a 3-year member of the board of directors for the Waterford Foundation for Public Education. In addition, she has been a member of the Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce for 13 years and was named the 2017 Waterford Business Person of the Year.

“We are very fortunate to have Kris serve a second term as president of the Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce. Kris is a dynamic leader who is solutions driven. Her inspiration and tenacity are remarkable; both characteristics critical in a leadership role as chamber president. Kris has a proven track record and will only continue her momentum as we move forward into the coming year,” said Marie Hauswirth, Executive Director of the Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce.
