R. Taylor Scott, DO serves as the program director of the Family Medicine Residency Program at the McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital (MGL) in Lansing Michigan. He provides administration and leadership in this program as well as teaching in the Core Clinical Concepts (C3) Clerkship curriculum at MGL. Dr. Scott has experience in medical education in both pre and post-graduate settings, having served as Clinical Skills coordinator at MSUCOM as well as Internship Director at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing MI. Dr. Scott has a clinical practice in Family Medicine at the McLaren Family Medicine Residency Program, Health and Wellness Pavilion and is appointed in the MSUCOM Department of Family and Community Medicine. Dr. Scott has interests in the support of evaluation of healthcare professionals in a variety of fields and is especially interested in technology and communication in healthcare. Dr. Scott has a passion for educating future Family Physicians with pre and post-graduate Medical Education dedication and excellence. In addition he has a special passion for healthcare for people experiencing homelessness and is co-faculty-advisor for Spartan Street Medicine, which provides medical and educational opportunities for medical students to provide care to this vulnerable population. He is board certified in Osteopathic Family Practice.
