McLaren CareNow offers Lab Services
Are your patients experiencing issues with lab access? MPP has been made aware of limited availability of McLaren lab draw stations. Potential impacts of a delay in lab services includes suboptimal disease management, poorer patient outcomes and a delay in quality metric gaps in care closures. As always, patients should be encouraged to utilize McLaren services whenever possible. To better serve our patients and to support our providers, MPP and McLaren Health Management Group would like to make you aware of a potential solution.
McLaren CareNow @ Walgreens sites can be utilized as lab draw stations. Full blood draw and point of care laboratory testing services are offered. Point of care tests offered:
McLaren CareNow sites are conveniently open 7 days per week and no appointment is required. Patients have the option to schedule appointments online at www.mclaren.org/carenow.
For Walk-in Patients with lab orders, and not seeing a McLaren CareNow provider, testing is sent to McLaren Medical Lab (MML) and results are reported to the ordering provider via fax only.
