Molina COVID-19 Medicare Payment Amendment

As a result of the COVID-19 public health emergency, Molina has recognized that its plan members have deferred or avoided seeking in-person medical care, thus resulting in reduced utilization for Medicare Covered Services for the 2020 calendar year. Molina understands this is potentially causing practices a financial hardship and will be making an interim lump sum payment to contracted physician groups in MPP based on Medicare claims.

Molina will be distributing checks, totaling $556,900, to those practices that met their criteria, by the end of the year.
