MPP is pleased to announce a new Value Based Contract has been signed with AETNA for their Medicare Advantage insurance product encompassing all McLaren regions in Michigan. This new product offers provider gain sharing based on attaining quality and cost of care performance metrics.
Our current agreement now includes all McLaren hospitals and all active McLaren Medical Group providers in the following regions:
- McLaren Bay
- McLaren Bay Special Care (LTACH)
- McLaren Caro
- McLaren Central
- McLaren Flint
- McLaren Greater Lansing
- McLaren Lapeer
- McLaren Macomb
- McLaren Oakland
- McLaren Northern
- McLaren Port Huron
- McLaren Thumb Region
- Karmanos Cancer Center
- McLaren Health Management Group
The new contract amendment with AETNA is effective December 1, 2020. In the coming months, MPP will be working with AETNA to add our independent MPP providers to the Aetna McLaren Medicare Advantage network agreement. Since independent physicians may already be contracted with Aetna for Medicare Advantage, Aetna is requiring our independent MPP providers to opt into our agreement. MPP independent members will receive a document to sign to opt in.
