Primary Duties


A private practice in partnership with McLaren Oakland is recruiting a hospital employed Inpatient Psychiatrist in Pontiac, Michigan. Join a multidisciplinary team of counselors, Masters level Psychologists, Case Managers and Social Workers overseen by an experienced Administrators. An outpatient service is also part of the opportunity owned and managed by Advanced Psychiatric Services, Bloomfield Hills, MI.

Inpatient Overview:
Coverage is for a 40-bed Senior Behavioral Health Unit 50+ years of age with additional geriatric focused care.
There will be consult referrals from the ED, med/surg floors.
Round every third weekend and evening coverage is 1:3 via telephone.
Internal Medicine residents are on duty during the night to handle emergencies and hospitalists round on patients in the unit daily. 
McLaren Oakland is a teaching hospital and you will have the opportunity to teach resident didactic lecture and bedside training.
