McLaren Port Huron Foundation, Marwood award scholarships

Port Huron, MI – McLaren Port Huron Foundation and its health care partners have awarded scholarships to 27 students pursuing degrees in professions represented in the hospital and the community. Since 1988, 551 recipients have received $651,250 through the scholarship program.

Scholarships are funded by the Carter family, Demashkieh family, Folske family, Godbold family, McLaren Port Huron Auxiliary, McLaren Port Huron Employees That Care Club, and McLaren Port Huron Foundation.

The 2022 scholarship recipients are:

Marwood Nursing & Rehab Karen Susan Draper Memorial Scholarship for Nursing: Jennifer Allen of Jeddo, Stephanie Easton of Kimball, Jamie Emery and Carinne McPhail of Clyde, Janelle Marsh of Kimball, Joleen Newton of Grant Township and Christine Pearson of Port Huron.

McLaren Port Huron Auxiliary Scholarship:  Madison Desloover of Avoca and Breanna Thornton of Goodells.

McLaren Port Huron Auxiliary Seminar/Conference Scholarship:  Julie Dickinson of Lexington, Tina Hinkle of Clyde, and Nancy Trombley-Henry of Marysville.

McLaren Port Huron Employees That Care Scholarships:  Halli Setzer of Port Huron, Wendy Teich of Fort Gratiot, and Jessica Willing of Yale.

McLaren Port Huron Employee Scholarships:  Alexis Cox of Kimball, Mark Donnellon of Emmett, and Julianne Kaminski of Port Huron.

McLaren Port Huron Foundation Nursing Scholarship:  Jamie Kadarian of Yale, Loretta Latimer of Marysville, Danielle Mackey of Kenockee, and Lynne Mino of Sarnia.

Shirley Jardine Carter Memorial Scholarship for Rehab Services:  Breanna Konowalski of Macomb, Ben Oles of St. Clair, and Sara Stevens of Ruby.

Kris Folske Memorial Scholarship for Nursing:  Rachel Distelrath of Grant Township.

Demashkieh Family Scholarship: Katie Gossman of Kimball.
