Fun evening takes women's health to heart

Port Huron, MI – McLaren Port Huron will hold its annual Women and Heart: Wine, Cheese and Chocolate event Thursday, February 8, 6 – 8 p.m., at the Black River Country Club. 
Participants will enjoy a fun and informational evening focused on heart disease and prevention. 

This enjoyable evening includes gathering with friends to sample wines, snack on cheese, and taste delicious chocolate desserts while perusing vendor stations. Keynote speaker, St. Clair County Medical Officer Dr. Annette Mercatante, will talk about the health of our community, especially heart disease in women. Participants are encouraged to wear red – the national color of women’s heart health awareness.

This special program is held annually in observance of American Heart Month.

Cost of the evening program is $15 for members of Women’s Wellness Place or 55 Plus and $17 for non-members. Registration is required by January 29. To register or for more information call HealthAccess at (800) 228-1484.
