Wound Care
Offered at McLaren Bay Region

The McLaren Bay Region Wound Care Center specializes in the treatment of non-healing, chronic wounds and their co-morbidities. Chronic wounds affect 6.7 million people in the United States and the incidence is expected to rise at a rate of two percent annually over the next decade. An aging population and increasing rate of diseases and conditions such as diabetes, obesity and the late effects of radiation therapy contribute to the chronic wound epidemic.

A Focus on the Patient
McLaren Bay Region Wound Care Center offers an evidence-based systematic approach to advanced wound care. Treatment options include negative pressure wound therapy, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings, growth factor therapies, and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. These treatments are the result of a team-based approach between the Center’s providers, nurses and staff and the referring physician. A treatment plan is developed and scheduled based on the patient’s needs. Once treatment is complete, the patient returns to their primary physician to continue routine care.

Specialized Training
Physicians, nurses, and staff are trained in the latest therapeutic methods in wound management as well as updated with breaking information about the industry, policies, and procedures. This includes initial and ongoing training conducted by Healogics, Inc. to ensure continuity of care, as well as a high standard of care for all patients.

Partnership with Healogics
The Center has partnered with Healogics to join their network of over 600 Wound Care Centers nationwide. Headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla., Healogics is the nation’s wound healing expert.
