A message from Ray Rudoni, MD, Medical Director, Emergency Services, McLaren Flint and McLaren Fenton.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our world in many ways. However, one thing that has not changed is McLaren Flint and McLaren Fenton’s commitment to providing safe, compassionate emergency care whenever patients need it. McLaren’s emergency rooms are here for you and your patients.
McLaren continues to go above and beyond to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff by using the right personal protective equipment, encouraging social distancing, and frequently disinfecting high-touch areas. Patients with COVID-19 symptoms are immediately separated from others to be cared for in designated areas.
Should you need any resources for your patients, McLaren has updated information about the safe care we are providing on our website at www.mclaren.org/safecare.
We also have tear pads available with information about our ERs and our Safe Care initiatives. If you would like these materials for your office, please reach out to Katie Guimon, manager physician relations at [email protected], or call her at (810) 342-4894.
I also want to share some exciting news. McLaren Flint’s Emergency Department is undergoing some major renovations this year. Enhancements include all new flooring, paint, new waiting room furniture and restroom upgrades. Meanwhile, the McLaren Fenton ER will celebrate its one-year anniversary this month (March).
With the promise of an increased supply of vaccines on the way, we look forward to more and more patients feeling comfortable seeking the health care they need. Thank you for helping us continue to reassure patients that they will receive safe care.
