One year later: The Wayne and Joan Webber Emergency and Trauma Center

When McLaren Macomb stuck the first shovel in the ground to officially begin the construction of the Wayne and Joan Webber Emergency and Trauma Center, the largest and most advanced emergency center in Macomb County, hospital president and CEO Tom Brisse marked the occasion.

“The team from McLaren Macomb, we come to work every day to deliver the absolute best patient care,” he said. “That’s what we all want to do, nothing less. This new facility is going to provide the perfect setting for us to do that.”

The Wayne and Joan Webber Emergency and Trauma Center was built to meet the growing need for reliable and exceptional emergency care in Macomb County.

Treating its first patient one minute after officially opening in June 2020, the emergency team at McLaren Macomb hasn’t let up on its promise one year later.
