McLaren Northern Michigan is pleased to announce that Corazon, Inc., a national leader in services for the cardiovascular specialty, has granted Catheterization Laboratory accreditation for the Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) with Open-heart Surgery (OHS) program.
This accreditation is a testament that the program at McLaren Northern Michigan has met or exceeded the requirements established by the Michigan Department of Community Health (MI DCH), in accordance with Certificate of Need (CON) Review Standards for Cardiac Catheterization Services. Such requirements include 24-hour coverage for PCI emergencies, and undergoing detailed quarterly quality reviews to ensure outcomes and practices meet or exceed national standards.
McLaren Northern Michigan has demonstrated through this accreditation survey a commitment to providing the highest quality level of cardiac care to patients all across northern Michigan and the eastern Upper Peninsula.
