Our Foundation

McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation is a separately incorporated 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity. The Foundation consists of a volunteer Board of Trustees representing our community and business leaders, medical staff, and hospital leadership.

Since it was established in 1982, the Foundation has raised more than $30 million for McLaren Greater Lansing. We are supported by thousands of active donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Your gift is extremely important because it provides resources that make an immediate impact on Greater Lansing through funding of:

  • advanced technology and equipment;
  • medical education for physicians, nurses, and other patient caregivers, including nursing scholarships;
  • care essentials and lodging for patients in need;
  • community outreach to promote health and wellness; and
  • innovative research for disease prevention and cure.

Our special events include the Jack Breslin Golf Classic, State of the State of Healthcare and Annual Gala. We invite you to learn more about these events and opportunities to support McLaren Greater Lansing by clicking the Foundation Events button below.

Your tax-deductible gift will help to improve the health of our community—your friends, your neighbors, and people whom you may never know but whose needs are great.

Arthur Roat

McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation

“Everyone at Karmanos and McLaren were very nice to me,” said Roat. “They really took care of me, and when I was all done with treatment, they let me ring the survivor’s bell, which felt great.”

Michele Rachal

McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation

“It feels really good to ring the bell,” said Rachal. “Radiation is a process, and I’ve been through it and I’m done. This is my day.”

Marilyn Sweet, Rod Wilbur & Agatha Snoep

McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation

“I didn’t want to get up in the morning back then, and when I did get up, I didn’t want to do anything. Now I like getting up in the morning, and look forward to doing more than I did the day before.”
