McLaren Greater Lansing - Mid Michigan Physicians Southside Urgent Care, a recipient of the National Association for Ambulatory Care (NAFAC) Certification of Excellence, is committed to providing high quality medical care for all illnesses and injuries on a walk-in basis with a minimum wait. Our board-certified physicians have been trained to care for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

  • Please bring insurance card (s), valid photo I.D., and medical information including allergies.

With board-certified urgent care physicians, our team offers urgent care for minor illnesses and injuries such as:

  • Digital X-Ray onsite

  • Lab facilities, including blood drawing onsite

  • Rapid testing

  • EKG

  • DOT physicals

  • We care for acute illness and exacerbation of chronic illness

  • Treats illness, injuries, lacerations, and infections

  • We provide Foreign Travel Physicals and Sports Physicals

  • We can treat most injuries with our complete assortment of splints, crutches and casting materials

  • Flu vaccines

  • Tb Skin testing

  • Auto related injury care

When to see your primary care provider 

Your primary care provider (PCP) should be your first point of contact for all of your non-emergent healthcare needs. PCPs help you manage your overall, long-term health while maintaining your personal health care history.

These physicians are focused on: 

  • Promoting your ongoing health and disease prevention

  • Performing or scheduling annual exams and screenings

  • Coordinating care with specialty physicians as needed

  • Diagnosing and managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol

  • Ensuring vaccines are up to date

When to go to the Emergency Room

The emergency department is your hub for life-threatening illness and injuries. If you are experiencing any of the following, immediately go to your nearest emergency department or call 911:

  • Difficulty breathing, shortness of breath

  • Chest or upper abdominal pain lasting more than several minutes

  • Fainting, dizziness, weakness or lack of mobility

  • Changes in vision

  • Confusion or changes in mental status

  • Sudden or severe pain

  • Uncontrolled bleeding

  • Broken bones that break through the skin

  • Severe or persistent vomiting or diarrhea

  • Coughing or vomiting blood

  • Suicidal feelings

  • Poisoning

  • Head or neck injury
