McLaren Health Care, headquartered in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is a fully integrated health network committed to quality, evidence-based patient care and cost efficiency. The McLaren system includes 15 hospitals in Michigan and Ohio, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, a 490-member employed primary and specialty care physician network, commercial and Medicaid HMOs covering more than 588,000 lives in Michigan and Indiana, home health, infusion and hospice providers, pharmacy services, a clinical laboratory network and a wholly owned medical malpractice insurance company. McLaren operates Michigan’s largest network of cancer centers and providers, anchored by the Karmanos Cancer Institute, one of only 51 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the U.S. McLaren has 28,000 full-, part-time and contracted employees and more than 90,000 network providers throughout Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.

As part of its Graduate Medical Education (GME) program, McLaren maintains academic affiliations with medical schools at Wayne State University, Michigan State University and Central Medical University. McLaren’s six (6) GME campuses offer 27 residencies and eight (8) fellowship programs that train over 650 future physicians annually. All GME programs at McLaren are overseen and managed centrally by the Department of Academic Affairs.

    Located in Bay City, Michigan is a 399-bed acute tertiary care hospital providing specialty, primary and preventive services including cardiovascular, neuroscience, women’s health, orthopedics, behavioral health, cancer care and more. With over 2,200 employees, McLaren Bay Region is Bay County’s largest employer. McLaren is proud to be a Primary Stroke Center and a Neuroscience Center of Excellence, as well as the only accredited Chest Pain Center in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

  • McLaren Bay Special Care

    McLaren Bay Special Care is a 31-bed acute care facility located in Bay City, Michigan specializing in the care and treatment of patients with special medical needs that require lengths of stay greater than 25 days. The facility is licensed by the Michigan Department of Community Health, and is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association’s Health Care Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP). The staff uses a patient focused-interdisciplinary team approach to care, including weekly team conferences facilitated by RN Case Managers. Family conferences are provided as needed and we provide comprehensive family discharge planning.

    McLaren Flint is a tertiary teaching facility with 416 beds located in Flint, Michigan. McLaren Flint is affiliated with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in its medical and surgical residency programs, including family practice, internal medicine, general surgery, orthopedic surgery and radiology. McLaren Flint also maintains hematology/oncology and vascular surgery fellowship programs in partnership with Michigan State University and a surgical oncology fellowship. Certified as a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Cardiac Center of Excellence, this facility is also designated as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, a Primary Stroke Center of Excellence, and a Blue Cross Blue Shield Center of Distinction for Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery and Spine Surgery.     McLaren Greater Lansing, a tertiary teaching facility with 310 acute care beds, is located in Lansing, Michigan. This medical center is home to one of the nation’s leading cardiac programs; state-of-the-art clinical centers for oncology and women and children’s health; medical/surgical units; and a full-service pharmacy. Its residency programs are affiliated with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and the Statewide Campus System.     McLaren Macomb is a 288-bed tertiary teaching facility located in Mount Clemens, Michigan.
