Leadership at McLaren Central Michigan is humbled by the generosity of the Mt. Pleasant Lions Club, whose members generously organized and donated almost 200 backpacks—filled with stickers, colored pencils, a coloring book, and a stuffed animal—for children visiting the hospital’s emergency department.

“We are incredible grateful for the generosity and kindness shown by the Lions Club and its members in their organization and donation of these backpacks,” said Nicole Sanders, McLaren Central Michigan Director of Marketing and Business Development. “A child in a hospital facility can experience a range of emotions, and their compassionate gifts can provide them with a distraction and a sense of normalcy during what can be a stressful situation. This was truly a heartwarming gesture, and we are very thankful to them.”
