The Karmanos Cancer Institute at McLaren Flint offers a full range of oncology services in Genesee County. The Gynecologic Oncology Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) at Karmanos Cancer Institute is committed to providing outstanding and innovative care for women with cervical, fallopian tube, ovarian, primary peritoneal, uterine (endometrial), vaginal and vulvar cancers, as well as gestational trophoblastic disease. In some cases, they can even rule out what appeared to be a potential cancer diagnosis.

Gynecologic oncologists Benjamin Mize, MD, and John Wallbillich, MD, lead the Gynecologic Oncology Multidisciplinary Team in Flint. This team consists of radiation and medical oncologists and specialized nurses, pathologists, radiologists, and additional specialists involved in the care of a cancer patient.

Doctors Mize and Wallbillich have training in obstetrics and gynecology, with specializations in surgical oncology and medical management of gynecologic cancers where indicated. Both physicians have training in obstetrics and gynecology, with specializations in surgical oncology, including minimally invasive techniques, and medical management of gynecologic cancers where indicated. These cancers include cervical cancer, fallopian tube cancer, gestational trophoblastic disease, ovarian cancer, uterine (endometrial) cancer, vaginal cancer, and vulvar cancer.
