Dr. Alexander Doubek is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician specializing in interventional spine and musculoskeletal medicine at McLaren Northern Michigan. He provides minimally invasive treatments for spine-related pain, musculoskeletal conditions, and nerve disorders.
A native of Alpena and former high school hockey player, Dr. Doubek is passionate about serving the Northern Michigan community where he was raised. He completed his medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at MSU-Sparrow Hospital where he served as Academic Chief Resident, and his fellowship in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Dr. Doubek's expertise includes fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided procedures such as epidural injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation, joint injections, and nerve blocks. He also specializes in electrodiagnostic studies, bringing comprehensive spine and musculoskeletal care to Northern Michigan patients.
Dr. Doubek believes in collaborative patient care and empowering patients through education. Outside of medicine, he enjoys fishing (earning multiple Michigan Master Angler Awards), rock climbing, golfing, and exploring Northern Michigan's outdoors.
