Clinical Integration Payment 1 for 2025

McLaren Physician Partners (MPP) is pleased to announce the release of the MPP Clinical Integration (CI) Payment 1 of 2 for 2025. This payment is based on physician performance on cost and quality measures and includes value-based payments received from February 2025 to August 2025.

The total distribution amount is $5.6 million. This represents an increase of$2.2 million over the last CI Payment 2 of 2024.

Distribution Takeaways:

  • NCQA and Payors continue to raise the quality metric payment targets- must reach the 75th percentile for payment
  • Provider performance in quality is not meeting the targets established by the payors.
  • Payments from the payors are decreasing due to our performance
  • Resources provided to assist with performance:
    • Persivia Population Health Registry
    • Stanson HCC Coding Assistance Tool (Cerner EMRs)
    • Persivia CareTrak HCC Module (for Non-Cerner EMRs)
    • Quality Performance Improvement staff
    • Care Coordination services and staffing
  • MPP continues to engage with other Michigan Physician Organizations (PO’s) to establish best practices to improve our performance.
  • MPP is attending bimonthly meetings with BCBSM on a corrective action plan which includes evaluating our opportunities to improve our processes to optimize performance.
  • MPP remains committed to redoubling our efforts to efficiently increase the quality payments.
  • MPP and MMG quality leadership engaged in Quality Improvement project
    • Includes Cerner optimization and automation
    • CPT II codes for HbA1c and Blood Pressure
    • MPP and MMG staff reaching out to patients and providers to assist with gap closure
  • Additional provider reimbursement is dependent on performance in value-based payment models as Medicare and BCBSM continue to have no planned rate increases for physician reimbursement.
  • Improving your performance in the payor quality value-based programs and the MPP CI program is required to maintain practice sustainability.

MPP would like to thank all our providers and their office staff for their hard work and commitment to providing high quality patient care.

Sincerely,
