AETNA Medicare Advantage Contract with McLaren
In May of 2021, MPP announced expansion of the new Value-Based contract signed with AETNA for their Medicare Advantage (Aetna MA) insurance product to all Michigan MPP members. This contract encompasses all McLaren regions in Michigan. This new product offers provider gainsharing based on attaining quality and cost performance metrics.
Key Points:
- Quality of Care Benefit: Patients will be supported by MPP Quality and Care Coordination staff with the goal of optimizing patient care outcomes.
- Economic Benefit: Additional revenue opportunity over your current Fee-For-Service agreement, similar to our other gainsharing agreements with other MA plans and CMS.
- Applicable to Aetna’s Medicare Advantage products only.
- If you are currently contracted for Aetna MA, the McLaren contract would replace your existing MA participation in this product.
- No penalty or delay in patient access for switching contracts to the McLaren contract from another PO.
- An opt-in form needs to be completed and submitted back to MPPEnrollment@mclaren.org.
Your prompt response as Accept or Decline is requested. Once the form is received, MPP will begin processing your participation. This can be completed at either the group/TIN level or at an individual provider level.
