Clinical Integration Payment 2 for 2022

 

McLaren Physician Partners (MPP) is pleased to announce the release of the MPP Clinical Integration (CI) Payment 2 of 2 for 2022. This payment is based on physician performance on cost and quality measures and includes value-based payments received from August 2023 to January 2023.

 

The total distribution amount is $5.9 million. As we transition to value-based payments our top performing physicians have received the following in this distribution:

Significance of this distribution:

 

  • Provider reimbursement is changing to value-based payment models and improving your performance in the MPP CI program is required to maintain practice sustainability.
  • Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial Payors (Employers) are requiring (Value-Based) upside and downside gainsharing contracts where providers are at risk for the cost and quality of care provided to patients.
  • “CMS’ goal is to make fee-for-service (FFS) more uncomfortable for physicians.” (Liz Fowler, Deputy Administrator and Director of CMMI)
  • Medicare has no planned rate increases for physician reimbursement
